CONCERT CHOIR, CHAMBER / MADRIGAL CHOIR,
MEN’S & WOMEN’S CHOIR

ELIGIBILITY:
All performers must be members of one school’s student body. “Guest” directors may not direct the group and directors may not perform with the group.

SELECTION AND PERFORMANCE TIME:
Mixed choirs should perform a minimum of 3 compositions (up to 15 minutes total) of the director’s choice. There is no required music list. Total on-stage time, including set-up, optional brief warm-up, performance and on-stage clinic, is not to exceed 30 minutes. It is recommended that the group limit its performance to 15 minutes in order to allow adequate time for set-up and clinic. Penalties may be assessed for overtime performances

WARM-UP: Each group will be given a designated off-stage warm-up period prior to the scheduled performance.

JUDGING: Three adjudicators will evaluate your performance. Three original conductor’s scores for each selection must be provided to the judges. One adjudicator will provide an optional on-stage critique/clinic immediately following your performance. Outstanding Soloist Awards will be given to those vocalists, regardless of age and classification, who demonstrate outstanding solo ability.

EQUIPMENT: Choral risers and an acoustic piano will be provided in the performance area.
