Participant Classifications

CONCERT BAND

High School, Jr. High/Middle, and Elementary Concert Bands are classified by school enrollment:

Class A .............. Up to 500
Class AA ............. 501-1000
Class AAA ............ 1001-1500
Class AAAA ........... 1501 or More

Second concert band………Drops one Class from their Top Band (ie: Top Band, Class AAA, second band is Class AA)

Jr. High/Middle School Concert Bands and Elementary Bands are adjudicated in their own class.

High School, Jr. High/Middle, and Elementary Parade Bands are classified by school enrollment:

Class A .............. Up to 500
Class AA ............. 501-1000
Class AAA ............ 1001-1500
Class AAAA ........... 1501 or More

Jr. High/Middle School Bands and Elementary Bands are adjudicated in their own class.

High School Jazz Bands all judged in Open Class.

Jr. High/Middle School Jazz Ensembles are adjudicated in their own class.

All jazz/show choirs are judged in Open Classes.

Jr. High/Middle School Jazz Ensembles are adjudicated in their own class.

Orchestras are divided into three categories:

High School Full/Chamber Orchestra
High School String Orchestra
Junior High/Middle School (open class)

High School and Jr. High/Middle School Marching and/or Concert Percussion will be judged in their own separate open classes.

Note: You may enter Marching and/or Concert Percussion categories.

Units will be judged in an “Open” class category.

Auxiliary units shall include the following:

Color Guard (and/or Flag Corps), Dance Team, and Baton Twirling Team.

High School, Jr. High/Middle, and Elementary Choirs are classified by school enrollment:

Class A .............. Up to 500
Class AA ............. 501-1000
Class AAA ............ 1001-1500
Class AAAA ........... 1501 or More

Jr. High/Middle School and Elementary Choirs are adjudicated in their own class.
